Tantalising Tales: Creative Writing for Upper Primary Compositions

Thematically taught, this workshop focuses on elements of storytelling for the most common plots in upper primary composition papers. Armed with creative vocabulary and brainstorming ideas, students are given ways to craft plots that will impress.

Mastering the Visual in English and Social Studies*

English and Social Studies have more in common than you think. Conquer visual texts. See the metaphors in taglines and political cartoons. English visual texts and social studies source-based questions have more in common than you think. Exercise your grey matter and learn skills to reading between the lines in the visuals.

Instant Content 1: Topics for EL Paper 1*

We give you vocabulary, coupled with content from all the important topics you need to have knowledge of to write a decent essay. Facilitated by experienced, former MOE teachers, this workshop targets the average teen who lacks the motivation to read current affairs. Every topic is accompanied by newspaper articles and relevant sample essay questions. Students will be taught instant formulas to essay organisation, brainstorming techniques and writing introductions and conclusions.

Making the Grade workshop for parents) to confirm a seat in the session.

A light snack will be provided for all participants in workshops which are
longer than 2 hours.

All workshop materials or practice papers or notes will be provided.
All Primary and Secondary workshop trainers are former or current MOE trained
teachers with English and/or Literature degrees.
